THRACO-MACEDONIAN TRIBES, Moriaseis. 2nd century BC. AE (Bronze, 21 mm, 7.72 g). Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. MOPIAΣEΩN Star of six rays. P.R. Franke located the Moriaseis in Macedon, however, if they are identical to the 'Moriseni' mentioned by Pliny (Nat. 4.18), they lived on the Thracian coast of the Pontox Euxinos, i.e. the Black Sea.
